01Data Collection
JustFocus does not collect any personal data:
- Browsing history or URLs visited
- Page text, images, or content
- Cookies or tracking identifiers
- Usage analytics or telemetry
JustFocus keeps your blocklist and settings in your browser. Site blocking runs locally; the only data that can leave your device is what your browser's own account sync copies, plus the optional Premium licence check. No analytics, no account, no advertising.

JustFocus does not collect any personal data:
JustFocus requests minimal permissions:
<all_urls> host permission only for declarativeNetRequest blocking rules, and the license server only for paid activation. JustFocus only acts on sites you explicitly block, or on the feeds you explicitly hide.Your blocklist and settings are stored with chrome.storage.sync, the browser's own account sync. If you are signed in, Google or Microsoft may copy them to your other computers. The developer operates no sync server and cannot read this data. Uninstalling removes the local copy; a copy already in your browser account is controlled by the browser vendor and can be removed in the browser's sync settings.
Core blocking features make zero network requests. Data can leave your device in two cases. If you enable the browser's own account sync, Google or Microsoft may copy your blocklist and settings to your other computers; the developer operates no sync server and cannot read that copy. If you voluntarily activate a paid VKT Premium licence, a random install identifier and browser metadata are sent to api.annmax1983.com to activate and validate the licence. The licence request never includes your blocklist, browsing history or personal data. Our licence server records the IP address of these requests solely for rate limiting and abuse prevention — never for profiling, advertising, or sharing with third parties.
JustFocus is open-source. No ads, no tracking, no hidden data collection.
Your settings and content stay in your browser until you delete them in the extension or uninstall it. Uninstalling removes the extension's local data. Nothing is retained on our servers, because your content is never sent to them. If you enabled a feature that uses your browser account's sync, a copy may remain in that account. You can manage or remove it in your browser's sync settings.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date. Material changes will be noted in the extension's release notes.
